Property investment in South Africa is locked behind high capital requirements and paperwork designed for institutions. Developify needed a mobile platform that could onboard five very different investor types individuals, trusts, companies, stokvels, and diaspora investors each with its own FICA/KYC requirements, ownership structures, and approval workflows.
Solution
I designed an entity-first onboarding system where a single signup wizard branches into five tailored KYC flows individuals verify with just 3 documents in 24 hours, while trusts get auto-imported trustees from their Letters of Authority, in-app e-signed resolutions, and a pre-filled forms library. Complexity is progressive: PEP details, second tax residencies, and beneficiary structures only appear when triggered. Beyond onboarding, I designed entity-switching dashboards, a FAIS-aligned risk profiling module with mismatch warnings, a landowner portal with GPS-verified property submission, and a marketing website with dedicated pages for each entity type.

Developify is currently in development, with the design work complete and handed to engineering. Design-wise, the system holds together in a way I'm proud of:
One visual language stretches across three surfaces — the investor app, the landowner portal, and the marketing site — so a user moving from an ad to signup to their first distribution never feels a seam. The five entity types are colour-coded (green for individuals, amber for trusts, blue for companies, purple for stokvels, orange for diaspora) and that coding carries from a marketing page straight through to the dashboard, giving each investor a sense of "this was built for me" without splitting the product into five products.
